Environmental and Occupational Exposure
Environmental and occupational matters often involve a population of exposed individuals, a long latency between exposure and disease, and competing exposure histories. Renovatio Genomics applies genomic analysis to characterize the molecular signature of the exposure in question, where the literature supports a signature, and to evaluate alternative exposures that may explain the same disease pattern.
Sample types we work with
Tumor tissue (FFPE blocks/slides or fresh-frozen) for somatic profiling.
Whole blood for germline analysis.
Buccal swabs where invasive collection is not possible.
Previously sequenced data (FASTQ, BAM, VCF) generated by other laboratories.
Common matter types this service supports
Benzene and other aromatic solvents.
Glyphosate and other herbicides.
PFAS, drinking-water, and groundwater matters.
Silica and respirable mineral dust.
Hexavalent chromium and other heavy metals.
Pharmaceutical product liability with a genomic component.
